With our new Farnham Centre well and truly up and running, we turned our attention to revamp our website to give us something that's more truly representative of the organisation Disability Challengers has become.
With the advice and experience of the guys from d2-solutions.co.uk, phase 1 of website redevelopment project has seen the website go through a metamorphosis and means we head towards 2009 with a fresh online aspect. The website has expanded to include details of the full range of services that Disability Challengers now offers to parents, staff and supporters, some of which are further detailed below.
Margaret Ward our new CEO had this to say: "As soon as I saw the early design concepts I loved it, especially the gallery. This allows us to showcase so many of our wonderful photographs. I am really pleased that the design has captured much of the enthusiasm and energy of Disability Challengers. It provides us a real online presence enabling our communication to be up to date and relevant for all the different parties that interact with Challengers."
The website itself has fresh, clean approach to its delivery of information, making it even easier to find the details you need. There's flexibility in the structure to add more content as the Charity explores new ways to help those who need it the most, mixed with a fun and colourful layout decorated with images to show you every aspect of Challengers from the inside.
On the technical side the new website offers improved search engine optimisation (SEO) so that we can be found more easily. It's been built using clean and accessible code, again allowing the site to grow and evolve over time. All this has been balanced with crisp and clean navigation for easy access to all additional areas of the new Disability Challengers website.
Adam Edwards from Disability Challengers who worked closely with the d2 team had this to say: "Although d2 is a relatively new company, I felt it was important to select a local company that matched Challengers size and way of working. I was impressed from the start with the design work and the friendly, flexible, open approach of d2. Dave and Dave are experienced professionals with significant knowledge of implementing online solutions in the commercial market. They helped steer us through the development process and made the whole project a lot easier than I thought it would be."
